In a past life during World War II, a Russian soldier killed a German soldier, and in this life they are mother and son.

In My Past Life, I Killed a German Soldier — Now He’s My Son

Some stories are so astonishing that it's hard to explain them by anything other than reincarnation. Sometimes, memories from past lives find compelling evidence to back them up. A boy speaking German, a girl who found her past family, and other stories told by real people.

“He spoke German in his sleep.”

A woman kept having a recurring dream in which she killed a German soldier during the war. In this life, her son speaks German in his sleep and has two birthmarks exactly where the bullet hit that soldier in her dream.

“I often had the same dream: I came to my senses in the ruins of some building, wounded in the head, surrounded by corpses. I was on the second floor, with no outer wall and no roof. I had a German trophy rifle with three bullets left. My clothes were in poor condition, my shoes worn out.

A German truck pulled up and stopped right across from me. The driver ran off somewhere, and an older man in a cap and black coat stepped out to smoke. He had good boots, a cigarette case, and a black pouch with bullets on his belt. I shot him in the head. The bullet entered near his nose and exited through the back of his head. He fell, and his cap rolled under the truck’s wheel.

I tried to quietly make my way downstairs, but my head was spinning, my vision darkening. I stumbled, knocking loose some debris that made a noise. I thought, I need his boots and his bullets. Then something hit the wall and rolled to my feet — it looked like a grenade, but not round like in movies, more elongated. Something fell from above… and then darkness. That was the end of me.

In this life, I have a son with two birthmarks — one near his nose, another on the back of his head, under his hair. Since birth until the age of five, he spoke German in his sleep. I don’t know German, and no one in our family does. I believe he is the German soldier I shot for his boots and ammo.

The first time I ever went to a shooting range, I scored 20 out of 20 and won a toy prize. That could be just a coincidence, but I have cerebral palsy and my eyesight was already -8 back then (now it’s -12). Yet I just knew what to do.

Later, I recognized the exact rifle from my dream — the Mauser 98k — from pictures. I also identified the truck the German arrived in, ammo crates, and many other small details. I’m 36 now, I never met any war veterans in my family, I’m not into military history, I don’t play WWII-themed games, and we haven’t had a TV at home for over 20 years.

The first time something triggered me was during military exercises in our city when they played the air raid siren. We lived near an airfield, so it was loud. I was about 11 or 12. That sound filled me with a primal fear. After that, these dreams started to appear.”

“I’ll Grow Up Soon and Be with You for a Very Long Time.”

A mother appeared in her daughter’s dream and revealed that she had been reincarnated as her granddaughter.

“My mother passed away without ever meeting her great-granddaughter. The girl was born a year after her death. On the night before our little princess’s first birthday, I dreamed of my mom. I was crying, telling her how much I missed her, and she said, ‘Don’t cry. I’ll grow up soon and be with you for a very long time. I’m only turning one today. Don’t you see that it’s me?’ And indeed, we started noticing her gaze, movements, expressions. Now she’s 12 years old. She doesn’t look like her great-grandmother physically, but her character and so many other traits make it clear — it’s her.”

“You’re Not My Mom”

At two and a half years old, a girl remembered her past life and named the parents she had “back then.”

“One day I was about to wash the floors, and my daughter was two and a half years old. I said, ‘Sweetie, let me put on a DVD for you while I clean the floors.’ She looked at me and said, ‘Why do you keep calling me sweetie? You’re not my mom. My mom’s name was Anya, and my dad’s name was Andrei. I had a sister — she was already big and went to school. We used to jump on the bed together, and we had a red door and a porch. But we didn’t have DVDs, we had a VCR. I want to go home,’ and then she started to cry.

I was in shock — I couldn’t say or do anything, I just got goosebumps all over. Then I hugged and kissed her and told her that now I’m her mom and I love her very much. After that, she never spoke about those parents again.”

The Girl Who Found Her Past Family

A schoolgirl who had died was reborn and later reunited with her family from a past life.

A schoolgirl who had died was reborn and later reunited with her family from a past life.

“My schoolmate was reborn. She died during a physical education class, and in her new life, she eventually found her former mother and father. She would tell her new parents that she had different parents before, but they thought she was just making things up. However, she shared specific details — for example, the name of the cemetery where she had been buried — which helped them figure out where she had lived before (in Almaty). With the help of journalists, they managed to find her past family.

What’s interesting is that after meeting her former parents — to whom she had felt such a strong pull — she calmed down and now lives peacefully with her new family. They even made a film about it, changing the names and locations.”

“I Begged God for Another Life”

At age five, a boy suddenly remembered his past life and what happened after death.

“When I was about five years old, I was playing outside when suddenly a vivid scene opened before me — I saw my past life. I had a family, and then there was a picture of me getting into an accident. I came to and realized I had a wife and children; I needed to find them. Looking toward the horizon, I wondered where to start searching and felt a deep calm. At that moment, my current parents felt like strangers to me. I felt like an adult.

Later, I walked around the yard wanting to enter that state again, but I couldn’t.

Years later, I had a dream recalling how, after death, I begged God for another chance — ‘Please give me a chance to live another life because I didn’t live right in the last one.’

I also had memories or feelings — I couldn’t tell if they were dreams or reality — that I had been a domestic animal in past lives, maybe a pig or something else. I felt constant fear when people came, like my time was about to come, and I would be slaughtered.”

“Mom Told Me to Wait for Her”

A woman is talking on the phone in a dream with her dead mother.

A young woman’s mother died suddenly, yet in a dream the mother asked her to wait — leaving her believing they will meet again through reincarnation.

“I’m 21. My mom passed away suddenly, even though she was still young. I don’t feel like it was truly her time… Later, I dreamed we were talking on the phone. In the dream, I was surprised, thinking, but she’s dead. I wanted to say that to her, but she interrupted me and told me to wait for her.

I feel she will reincarnate and stay close to me — maybe even be born as my future child.”
